Tethys Maiden is an American author known for her gripping YA fantasy novel, The Mirror Queen. Her stories are influenced by personal struggles with depression and loss, making her fantastical worlds all the more raw and relatable. With a background in screenwriting, Tethys also works as an editor and ghostwriter for The Nonsense-Free Editor. Drawing inspiration from the enchanting worlds produced by Studio Ghibli and the gritty reality of true crime stories, Tethys weaves vivid and complex tales filled with flawed characters striving for redemption and joy amidst insurmountable pain. While not every character finds their happily-ever-after in her stories, there is always a glimmer of hope that endures.

Tethys has found a new beginning in life with her husband as they manage a martial arts school together. When she's not busy writing or editing, she enjoys studying the bible, eating pizza, spending time with her pet corn snake Snowball, and dreaming of buying more friends for Snowball.
